Camera Shots Quiz Discussion:
For this discussion, I will tell you how we were instructed to tell a story in 15 shots using specific shot types and angles to express the idea and overall tone of the story.
We wanted to tell a story about how a pen and a pencil would interact in a fight. We envisioned an intense scene where the pencil knocks down the pen, only for the pen to rise again and defeat it.
I believe I did choose the right shots for all of the specific moments in this project. The shots were planned to enhance the emotion and intensity of the project. I used a variety of different techniques, with my favorite being the long shot with the subjects on the right of the third. Although I believed that the camera shot and angle selection were great, I did end up lacking in the composition department. Some of the shots weren't as intense as I wanted them to be, due to the composition not being so great. Next time, I'll try to connect the composition with the camera shots/angles to better improve the emotion and feeling the audience has toward my work.
